Here’s why I’m lucky. A new friend Christian Linde suggested I visit the Luis Barragan house while I’m in Mexico City. Then Sara’s friend, who just returned from Mexico City, tells me I should meet her photographer friends, Francisca and Carla, while I am there. Turns out Francisca and Carla are having a show of photographs of the Barragan house that they shot mostly by moonlight, even some images by lightning! I had breakfast with them, then they took me on a private tour of the house. They discussed their work there and some cool details that the normal tour, I took that too with Ben, doesn’t show you. They also suggested tons of restaurants and galleries etc. I love them. Here is the Barragan house, a lovely place. ” emotional architecture” is what they call it.
