I spent a few days last week with Hank and Michael Krantz in ATL selling T-Mobile with a baseball star named Bryce Harper. Rumor on the set was that he was prepping to sign a contract for $750 Million dollars. I assumed that they meant $75 million because $750 million seems like the GDP of a small nation.
Nope. I can’t begin to understand that. The real story was how great it was to see good old Mike Krantz. I have known him since college and he is always a good time- mellow, smart, engaged, and reasonable. He was staying with another old college era friend named Danny Soder. Danny very nicely invited me over to have an adult dinner with He and Michael at his swanky ATL (newly) bachelor pad. It was a very engaging and very tasty trip down memory lane. The job was especially easy because Harper only gave us 4 hours so we had what they call a “hard out” at 1pm. We had lunch and birthday cake for Michael Priesner (art dept), then I hopped on a plane and was home for dinner. Sometimes showbiz is just what you want.
