Anyone who knows, knows that the very best Italian subs ( heroes, hoagies, grinders, etc. ) are made in Philly. As often happens, in copying those subs, delis in Delaware (where I grew up) have made something even better. The Italian subs in Delaware are amazing and Casapullas ( the Elsmere one, not the Hockessin ) makes the very best. The Secret is the Hot Cappy. I get the baby Italian. Some people call it Casapullas’s.
