Every year Nannette and Bob have a Christmas party that somehow always proves to be the best party of the year. At midnight they play The Waltz of the Flowers from the Nutcracker and everyone packs on to the dance floor and sprinkles tinsel on each other. It’s sublime. Tucked in a corner are the pictures of their daughter Violet with the Prima Ballerina from the NYC Ballet’s The Nutcracker taken every year since she was a baby. It is like a flipbook of her growning up.
