Alert– I plan to brag even more on this one then I usually do. I mean what is a Blog really but a way to brag and gloat in the guise of news? Anyway, I sometimes do this App called REX, made by the great director Chris Smith, which is an app where folks can recommend things they like, from books, to museums, to food, to hikes, anything, and other people comment and like and can even “vault” the recc. for later perusal. So I REXed this amazing little pencil shop on Forsyth Street in NYC that happened to be very close to a place we were shooting NIKE. I mentioned the place and waxed on about how great it and it’s proprietor are and how it reminded me of old NY, etc. Well what do you know but about three days later, note LATER, a little magazine called THE NEW YORKER had a piece about the same CW Pencil Enterprise in its Talk of The Town section. What I am saying is that I actually scooped the New Yorker on soemthing cool and New Yorky. I did not know that this was one of my long held dreams but turns out it is and now I can cross it off my list- More hip than the New Yorker– Check. Thanks for listening.
