I have been photographing Trees and their complicated relationship to people for many years. I find them beautiful and fascinating. These are some of the images that I used in my application for the 2011 Prix de Rome. I didn’t win but I had a great time building the portfolio and meeting with Artists I respect to discuss my application. I still photograph far too many trees.
